Hi all,
after 1,5 years of using MusE I finally realized my project of writing a MusE tutorial. The wiki is good (and looking better all the time!) but I think the MusE documentation (like many other open source projects) lacks information on how to put all the pieces together.
Demo song for the MusE Synthpop Tutorial: https://youtu.be/Xylf7kNYmbg. This is the song that the tutorial describes how to make. Music and voice: Staffan Melin, 2020
The goal of this tutorial is to make a synthpop song with a drum machine, software synthesizers and vocals. It ends with some short instructions on how to mix and master the song.
This is an example of how to work with MusE when the focus is on sequencing and programming the music.
The tutorial including source files can be found at: https://oscillator.se/opensource
Maybe we can include it in or on the wiki?

Thanks, it looks very useful!
I will of course be happy to include it in the wiki.
Do you intend to host the files on your homepage permanently? In that case I would create a short page in the wiki (under How-to) containing just the links to your tutorial and the related files. That way you could also easily update it if desired, without the need to modify the wiki.

Great, no, amazing! Since the younger generations prefer videos over text, I think it'd be great if someone followed the tutorial and made a video out of it.
I also like the song a lot

Thank you @kybos for the inclusion in the wiki. I think this is a good model, if I get feedback I can update the files w/o wiki changes.
@Basslint Yeah, I was thinking of making a video for a while, but I don't like them myself! Prefer to be able to follow at my own pace. Glad you liked the song -- I think I will do some further work on it and let Kajsa do the singing = new Dreams of Seagulls material!
