I need lists. Hardware for Ubuntu, Jack and Bristol.

Post by rockclimber »

I need approved lists of supported Hardware corrsponding to kernel versions.

I am using Ubuntu 10.4 ("Lucid") and I want to control the Bristol synthesizer with and without jack by USB. (My notebook has firwwire too.)

I need lists to check if the occasions on ebay are supported without a lot of tinkering.

Does anyone know where to look up the items ... not just by googling the name and "linux" and getting flushed away by the quantity ... ?

I've heard about a hardware list provided by canonical.

I use Bristol and works fine with my M-Audio oxygen 61. That's all I can say, I have an alesis multimix 4 usb but I don't recommend it, even though it works fine with ubuntu, it's not a good audio interface.

Here's a list that could be useful, I know there's a couple more but I don0t have my bookmarks here.

Thanks.

This is the canonical list, but it isn't useful yet:
