Focusrite Saffire Pro 24 DSP Firewire partly solved (Alsamixer DSP settings)

Post by wunder_musiker »

Hello,

I just bought a cheap Pro 24 DSP and succeeded in making it run under Ubuntu with Alsa and also with FFADO & Firewire. Now I have two Questions:

1. SolvedDid anyone test alsa-project /snd-firewire-ctl-services, especially with the Patch (for Pro 24 DSP, channel strip and reverb effects are partially supported.)? And See: https://github.com/alsa-project/snd-fir ... es/pull/72.
Works now. alsamixer is now showing compressor, equalizer, metering, reverb settings. See pictures.

2. As I am working with a Notebook and might consider buying a new one without firewire support, is there a firewire to USB Hub, adapter or converter working?

Thanks

hi, i had Saffire Pro 24, (no DSP, she unplugged got a Tascam 208i now...)

First, i use "UBUNTU STUDIO" LTS distro',

1- i launch "Ubuntu Studio Controls"
2- i click "start/restart Jack Audio server",

voilà.. done.

(Saffire/firewire is auto-detected & works directly.)

if that helps...
