Hi there,
I am running a AKAI LPK 25 under a Linuxmint 20.1 machine using the VMPK virtual Keyboard. It works fine so far. However, I'd like to transpose the notes played by VMPK when pressing a key on the midikeyboard up and down by a half step.
The midikeyboard itself has buttons to transpose the note played when pressing a key by multiple octaves which works fine so far, also.
In the VMPK software there is a Transpose field but it only transposes the "virtual" keyboard, which means:
- if I click with my mouse on a key of the virtual keyboard the played tone got transposed by the amount of selected half steps, but
- if I press a key on the midicontoller e.g. c1, VMPK still plays a c1. The only difference is now, it highlights a different key on the virtual keyboard - corresponding to the amount of halfsteps selected.
Does anyone know how I get to the desired behaviour of VMPK?
Thank you in advance for your help!

Re: Transposing MIDI Keyboard Input
I do transposing with qmidiroute. Connect keyboard to qmidiroute, and qmidiroute to software you want to use.
