Linux compatible ADAT I/O hardware?
There's plenty of pre-amps and ADA converters out there that use ADAT I/O. But I'm having a hard time finding anything that will reliably add ADAT ports under Linux. I'd like to find something that has 4x4 ADAT for 32/32. Ideally, something that can also be expanded for more later (ie two cards with clock sync)
PCIe or USB.
Something like a HDSPe RayDAT. (When I asked RME "support", they just said, "I don't know, go ask ALSA".) All these companies have tinnitus.
What are the known working with no hassle cards that provide ADAT I/O on Linux?

The Raydat works just like the AIO under Linux.

So with the Raydat you can get the full 32 in and 32 out with all 8 ADAT ports working?

Yes, go. One from a German forum uses this card under Linux.

You have been asking the same question I have been googling for days. Glad to see that the RME cards seem pretty universally compatible

I can't read the German, but can you confirm that it just worked? It doesn't require a custom kernel or compiling stuff, just plug it in?

The driver has been in the kernel for a very long time. I don't have one but have read many posts from people who do any they claim they work perfectly.

What is the mixer on screenshot? I cannot see full image without registration on that site.

I like to use the https://www.deepl.com/translator translator.
This is the kernel config. Yes it works with a distribution kernel newer than 2.6.39.
There, RME AIO viewtopic.php?p=101909#p101909, I described how to get a MADI/RayDAT/AIO working.
This is the hdspmixer.
