Using sustain pedal as another instrument

Post by yama »

Basically I want to be able to play some drum parts with feet, is there a way to program something to be able to do that? Or would I need a separate pedal?

Your question implies that you currently play some drum parts with your hands, or at least, something other than your feet :D How do you play the 'other' drum parts now?
(I do a bit of electronic drumming in Linux)

I guess that you can use mididings to convert damper pedal on/off to note on.

It basicly starts from question how your pedal is connected? Do you get some midi message from it?
