Linux friendly DC coupled audio interface?

I had to return my new and awesome MOTU Ultralite MK4 because it was reassigning output channels randomly. Not sure if people here have gotten this model to work properly without any channel reassignment or screeching sounds? I'm following the thread here of the AVB and it just seems to me that MOTU is a pain in the back to get properly working under Linux.

I'm looking for a similar interface (DC coupled and ADAT) that work reliably on Linux, any suggestions?
