Compared to 18i20:
The good
1. From the manual: "USB-C interface compatible with PC, macOS, & Linux"
2. 96 Khz (16 channels using ADAT)
3. 2 inserts points
4. phantom power selectable per input
5. Designed for headphones up to 600OHms
6. Totally Black (:-))
7. Better S/N ratio.
The bad
1. Same as Focusrite 18i20, seems limited to 16 channels. (why not 24 for 41/48 KHz)
2. No Linux routing/setting software (AFCC)
3. One HP output
4. No 192Khz
5. More limited in "mixes" ?
6. Expensive ($799 vs $499)
7. USB C does not support power
8. No MIDI port
The unknown
1. DC coupled ?
2. Pre-amp quality ?
All in all a welcome alternative to compete with Focusrite, except price wise
if Bad 1+2 were fixed would swap my FR's
Now after that statement full Linux mixer tool support please. (incl. metering) then FR might rethink Linux support ?
Shouldn't be long before Arturia releases an ADAT octo preamp.

Re: Arturia AudioFuse 8Pre (with Linux support)
Can rack ears be changed? The rack ears will look out of place in other rackmounted equipment as well.
