M-Audio Keystation 88 II - does it work OK with Ubuntu Studio?

I am basically a guitarist with little knowledge of midi input keyboards. I want one with full 88 range of keys. I used to have a very cheap input keyboard in the past with very small range of keys and found it frustrating.

I am thinking of getting this M-Audio Keystation 88 II keyboard. My PC does not have a midi port just USB. Does USB work well with Ubuntu Studio software (LMMS, QTractor, Ardour 4)?

Anyone know if it works OK with Ubuntu Studio 16.04.1? Pros/cons? Better suggestions around same price range? And advice appreciated. Thanks.

Class compliant it says, shouldn't be a problem.

All usb keyboards I hooked up in linux worked out of the box for me. No driver install or anything.
Also, if it works in one program, it works in all the other programs that use the same back-end (JACK midi , or ALSA midi).
Tested several Yamaha keyboards, Roland Fantom X7, obscure midi 2 usb adapter :-) and a Neuron Icon 5g2.
And it seems to me, 150 pounds for a full size keyboard, is a no brainer ..

Planning on using midi in Ardour ? Get the latest Ardour (5.5), lot's of bugs fixed.
Midi in Qtractor is even better IMHO.
LMMS I haven't recorded midi with, only edited.
