It has a class compliant mode, so it should. However, there may be a reduction in performance and/or functionality when switched to this mode. The included software certainly won't work on Linux. For less money, you are probably better off going with a Scarlett 2i4 (known to work), which does everything the UAC-2 does and more, except carry the extra bus voltage via USB 3.0. The new Scarlett models advertise lower latency than the previous generation, but I have no idea how it compares to the class complaint mode of this device.

Thank you. I tested it yesterday. Work fine with class compliant mode on 48kHz and 128 samples in jack.

Have you tried getting lower latency on the Zoom UAC-2 by using smaller buffers than 128 samples? I am about to buy the device myself, and I am very interested in knowing if latency below 5ms running linux is possible without getting buffer underruns...!
