Focusrite Sapphire 6 - Can not correctly map outputs

Post by alecjcook »

Hi,
I have a Focusrite Sapphire 6 (USB2) and I am having a little problem with Jack (I think). I am using Bitwig Studio. I have the output (L&R) from Bitwig patched in Jack to output 1&2 respectively on the focusrite, But 1&2 both always come out of the left headphone, and no matter how I patch it I cannot get anything to come out of the right channel of my headphones. Is there a layer deepr than jack that there might be a problem with?

Picture Attached.
The device in jack names itsself "hw:S6USB20,0"

Many thanks, Alec

The connection seems to be correct.
Did you watch faders in Alsamixer? Is the loudness of ports set to normal values?

Hi, Yes alsamixer looks fine.
The right channel is not merely absent it is being sent to my left headphone at some layer. Does anyone know how I can debug this please.

Actually is loos like Alsamixer is not appropriate.

I have a focusrite saphire 6 that is being controlled by jack. Although the outputs from my DAW are being sent correctly into jack, and jack is mapping them to what is thinks is L&R, the result is Left only.

Does anyone know how to debug this?

Here is more proof that I think I'm mapping the output to the right place.
