I just read this here and someone asked me yesterday for some info on laptop recording so I have been looking at interfaces. This Scarlett 18i8 looks very interesting to me as it has an ADAT input. And that ADAT can do SMUX as well!

So I googled a bit and it looks like it is working with linux but I cannot find anything about the ADAT and SMUX working on linux. Can someone shed a light on that?

If yes then I have found my new interface.

I get the impression that it is too early for this interface.

It's a old thread but I have the same question.
Is there anybody who tried this in the past 6 years?
