Update hardware matrix wiki?

Post by bmarkham »

Hi!

The M-audio 2x2 and 4x4 anniversary edition midisport interfaces worked out of the box for me (ubuntu studio 12.04 + KXStudio).

Ditto for the Alesis Multimix 8FX USB (it's a usb 1.1 class compliant gizmo. You only get the mixed stereo out of it.)

I was looking at the hardware matrix wiki and suspect that at least the anniversary edition midisports should be on there.

Thanks!

I've consolidated the M-Audio MIDI into one page at http://wiki.linuxmusicians.com/doku.php ... interfaces. I have the Uno which needed an extra driver. Did you not need that for the MIDISPORT?

I'm not sure if we need to list more USB 1.1 devices unless they do something special as they should generally just work. When I started the matrix I thought we should list those that were good for music recording. At the time I was trying to decide what to get and was struggling to find information.

Post here if anything else is missing.

The anniversary edition midisports don't need anything extra -- they work out of the box! :-)
