Post by TAERSH »

Hi.

It is now the 2nd time I found a comment on one of my songs (this time, Sapere Aude) which asks me to go viral with that song, telling me to look at the profile of the commenting guy/gal.

Within that profile there's a link to: https://edmviral.com/ (Social Marketing Solutions). They offer Packages to buy e.g. to gain 5000 plays, 70 likes, 30 re-posts, 7 comments and 20 follower.

As far as I recall there was a section in the terms of use, that it would be not allowed, to 'manipulate' stuff like plays and followers.

Not that I'm interested in having fake plays and followers, though I'm curious:

- anyone else got such comments (the 1st of it already disappeared) at any time
- am I wrong on what I meant to recall
- do they (SoundCloud) test me

???

I'm confused...

That's spam. There are also many fake profiles following you. You can unfollow and report as spam. That's the only downside of SC.

Ok, thanks.

Already found another one inside the mail box.

As there's only two plays on Sapere Aude, there's at least one of them both who did NOT listen to it, as I was one of the two listeners, to check if anything went wrong after uploading.

So, I will just ignore this in future uploads.
Got better things to do.

What I do is to block them as they show their faces. Got 3 of them recently. You can also delete their comments.

Might be nice to rename the topic to something like 'soundcloud spam' and remove references to the spammer, so we don't encourage them? ;)
