Getting open hats to close

Post by Qualitymix »

So, I've figured out my previous problem, yay!

Now I'm trying to figure out how to get my open hi hat sample to quit playing once a closed sample is played?

The simplest solution is to put the all the hihat instruments (hihat-open, hihat-foot, hihat-closed, etc...) in a choke group by adding the group="hihat" attribute to each of the instrument tags in the drumkit file.
Alternatively you can use the new directed-choke feature which was introduced in version 0.9.17: https://drumgizmo.org/wiki/doku.php?id= ... ctionality

Yo! That's awesome! Thanks!

I've been using samples from drumwerks.com. Turns out they make great kits with DrumGizmo!

I guess the samples that you use are not open such that you can share the entire drumkit?
