I just update the tar-ball with a potential fix for the retina issue:
https://www.drumgizmo.org/releases/drum ... vst.tar.gz
Again; Simply extract it to the ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST folder so that the VST folder ends up containing a drumgizmo.vst folder and then it should be possible to load inside the DAWs. It has been tested with Ardour and Reaper.
Since this is our first binary release on that platform please report any experiences with the plugin back to us so we know if it works.

Works a treat!
I had to do the whole thing. But besides that, and some cosmetics, it works fine.
Sync and performance are fine as well
Tested using Studio One Pro on Catalina on an early Retina Macbook Pro.
Awesome work, man !

Re: OSX State-of-Play?
Awesome - Thanks for reporting back
Did you also have to use the "master-disable" hack to make it work?

Re: OSX State-of-Play?
Sometimes I consider forming an organization that pools the money to pay the fee to be an officially recognized developer for OSX, then we could get these plugins certified and not have to jump through such hoops... other times I think I should just stick to developing for Linux and forget these other platforms that make it a pain to develop and run open source software.
Re: OSX State-of-Play?
No I didn't. Worked just fine with Mac OS Sierra 10.12.6
I haven't really put it to a real good test, but was at least able to load kits and make sounds. I'm going to work on getting it to trigger with my e-drum kit. I'll report back on that when I've done it.

Re: OSX State-of-Play?
I have just made a new OSX binary for the 0.9.19 release (which will be publicly announced later today I hope)
It can be downloaded here:
https://drumgizmo.org/releases/drumgizm ... vst.tar.gz
The hack will still be needed to make it work.
One of the main features of the new release wrt OSX, is the support for hi-res displays.

Re: OSX State-of-Play?
I'm having an issue with the GUI on a laptop - running Mojave, a 1280 x 800 display. Reaper 6.45.
In the screenshot you can see that the text box for the Midimap file is cut off. I can't grab the browse button next to it, nor cut copy or paste any of the text boxes. I can't resize anything in the GUI either.
If this is the wrong place to post a bug, please advise me where to go with this?
thanks!
Re: OSX State-of-Play?
I have moved beyond this roadblock, thanks to deva's help.
First and most importantly: I was able to gain control of the GUI by opening it into its own window. Double-click the "DrumGizmo" title in the upper left of the FX panel and the GUI will pop out to its own separate panel.
From there I was able to use the "Browse" buttons and select a drum kit and a MIDI map, and start to mess around with the VSTi.
Thanks for the help and for the so-far very interesting and, I hope, useful plug-in. Just starting to mess with it now. I can say the samples sound quite good, and the bleed adjustment is particularly interesting and unusual.
