I just update the tar-ball with a potential fix for the retina issue:
https://www.drumgizmo.org/releases/drum ... vst.tar.gz

Again; Simply extract it to the ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST folder so that the VST folder ends up containing a drumgizmo.vst folder and then it should be possible to load inside the DAWs. It has been tested with Ardour and Reaper.

Since this is our first binary release on that platform please report any experiences with the plugin back to us so we know if it works.

Works a treat!
I had to do the whole

Code: Select all

sudo spctl --master-disable
thing. But besides that, and some cosmetics, it works fine.
Sync and performance are fine as well :)

Tested using Studio One Pro on Catalina on an early Retina Macbook Pro.

Awesome work, man !

Awesome - Thanks for reporting back :-)

Did you also have to use the "master-disable" hack to make it work?

Sometimes I consider forming an organization that pools the money to pay the fee to be an officially recognized developer for OSX, then we could get these plugins certified and not have to jump through such hoops... other times I think I should just stick to developing for Linux and forget these other platforms that make it a pain to develop and run open source software.

No I didn't. Worked just fine with Mac OS Sierra 10.12.6
I haven't really put it to a real good test, but was at least able to load kits and make sounds. I'm going to work on getting it to trigger with my e-drum kit. I'll report back on that when I've done it.
