OT Brass library from 3VStudio

Post by glowrak guy »

Someone somewhere had asked about a group of orchestral libs, and this is one of them.
I lost track of the who what where when  so thought I should mention it somewhere.

The install is pretty easy, there are a plugin, and a sound archive, and loading the plugin
will trigger a request to browse to the sound archive, and decide where you want it to
reside after the unpacking...then reload the plugin to use it.

The gui reminds me of the old MX44 synth, and could use more contrast between text and background.

There are a lot of typical brass sounds, and it's easy to swap among them, to build a custom setups.
Should be fine for a lot of brass situations. The lib archive was 380 meg.

Gotta go find my memory pill...where'd I put my glasses...
Oh, I forgot, I used reaper 661, yabridge 4.02, and wine-staging 7.11 in AVLinux.
I think.

Hi, got the linux vst3 going in Ubuntu Studio, put the sounds in Documents, and they are selectable.
I boosted the gui size to 125% on old 17" monitor to help readability. The settings panel then seemed stuck, despite clicking everywhere,
so I reloaded the plugin, and the new size was there.

For some reason, the ahdsr sliders had no effect. Fiddling with the attack slider invoked a spike
that triggered reaper's automute. Maybe some button activates those sliders?
The filter sliders worked without any drama.

My quick impression is that way too many options with tiny widgets exist on the main panel,
I'd rather see the fiddly bits much larger, maybe deployed
on a popup panel, or a back-side view, like U-he are using.
Cheers

Reaper 6.61, Ubuntu Studio 20.04, typically updated.

Thanks for testing. To close settings panel you have to click the red near the "setup" square.
