Just tried pianoteq in carla. Zero xruns in 20 Minutes and great sound. I will do some more testing with ardour.

Pianoteq has a standalone version which you probably noticed. I play that most of the time because it has the nice feature of recording everything you play, so you can easily save your musical ideas. I have the Estate Piano from productionvoices.com which I never play anymore. I think the piano's at productionvoices.com all require sforzando to play properly. But it is nice they offer sfz's, I don't know of many commercial sfz's.
