QSampler works fine for me when using LinuxSampler as a plugin in Ardour / Mixbus.
However, when run without LS already present, it shows me only "ALSA" in the
"Audio Output" type (no "JACK"). Everything else I do on the system uses Jack
just fine.
Anybody seen this, or can suggest a debugging approach?
Tres.

Re: QSampler standalone, no "JACK" option
looks like that it's linuxsampler that was built without JACK support.
qsampler as client only shows the drivers that linuxsampler server provides. no more, no less.
cheers

Re: QSampler standalone, no "JACK" option
Maybe so. I've pretty much sworn off LinuxSampler at this point, given thatlooks like that it's linuxsampler that was built without JACK support.

sfizz covers 90%+ of what I want.
Ubuntu, Mixbus32C; acoustic blues / country / jazz

Exactly my problem. I downloaded Linuxampler from the official repositories tough: https://download.linuxsampler.org/packages/debian/tseaver wrote: ↑Sat Feb 08, 2020 4:20 amMaybe so. There are other places to look for it? Or, should I recompile it from sources?
PS: I was just willing to play out "gig" samples; maybe there are other tools for that?
Thank you!
Re: QSampler standalone, no "JACK" option
For informartion: I've recompiled linuxsampler and don't know if it was something installed during the process or linuxsampler itself but now I've Jack driver and everything is working just fine! Nice hint, thank you!
