What sampler plugin do you use?
Hi,
I was developing a sampler plugin for Linux, MacOS and Windows, now it can load multiple samples, change note ranges, adjust ADSR parameters, has loop and reverse options. And i want to know what plugins do you use and what you expect from your ideal sampler plugin). Maybe you can also share common use cases when you need samples plugin. I'm grateful for all responses =)
Plugin that i've been working on:

- Single sample with fixed pitch: I copy the audio clip into Qtractor as often as I need it
- Few samples to be played in various notes: sampl_v1
- Few samples with fixed pitch: drumk_v1
- Lots of samples, played as an instrument: I'd create an sfz-soundfont and use Linuxsampler

Interesting. How do you create your sfz-soundfont yourself?bluebell wrote:[...]

sfz is just a text file that references samples. You can create it in any text editor, and there are some dedicated editing programs too.Linuxmusician01 wrote:Interesting. How do you create your sfz-soundfont yourself?bluebell wrote:[...]

Thanks. I see an example on the link you posted here, but I think I'd rather use a dedicated app for it.d.healey wrote:sfz is just a text file that references samples. I use SampleTank 2, 3, and 4, for simple multi-timbral layering,ArtemPopov wrote:Hi,

Plugin that i've been working on:
https://github.com/abbysoft-team/Soompler
with 5 effects slots.
GlitchMachines Palindrome loads 4 samples, allows morphing
them on drawn paths at chosen speeds, among other possibilities.
Both reward imagination, without taxing it too much!
If you could code sample loading/playback in Yoshimi/Zynaddsubfx,
you would become a legend in your own time!
Good luck in your project!

Plugin I would like to use is petrifoo as a plugin. Unfortunately, it is not available as plugin, but only standalone program.ArtemPopov wrote:Hi,

pardon me, but the correct and official spelling is samplv1 and drumkv1 resp. half of the vee-one-suitebluebell wrote:- Few samples to be played in various notes: sampl_v1

ps. do not ever confuse the "v1" suffix with "version-one"

V2 of your V1 post? Well, I've been there, done that, selling the t-shirts off the rack...
