We are using PulseAudio or Jack, both are working fine.

mmm... maybe something related to sample rate, I'll investigate and let you know

I have installed it on another computer, same behaviour.

Now kind of small progress : on my second computer (not music related, only family and desktop tasks), installing from .deb did work, after a compilated version not working
Same try on my music computer : core dumped also...

Yes, I've seen the DEB file working in quite a number of PCs without problem. I can't figure out what is it that in some computers it doesn't work.
In your case, have you tried using Jack and Pulseaudio and none of those work ?
Thanks for the update, we really appreciate it

Just to be accurate :
On my office computer, I have only pulseaudio, not jack, and audiostellar installed from .deb works
On my music computer, whatever jack or pulse I use :
- the version installed from .deb installed in /opt doesn't lauch at all (core dump)
- the version compiled in ~/OF/apps/myapps/audiostellar/bin launches but crashes when I click on a particle (= trying to read a sample)
While you may try to fix that, I am going to try to record a bunch of samples to make my own set. What format and sample rates do you recommand ?

any MP3 should work fine. WAV 44100 16 too
we are updating the audio engine, maybe that will help

I wish this instrument could be converted to a sample manager.
