Petri foo

Postby Fresco_Armagedão » Mon Dec 10, 2018 6:25 pm

Dear friends,

I've searched around and i couldn't find a way in PETRI-FOO to assign to each key a different sound sample and then save it as a sf2 and use it on lmms sound sampler.

it is probably very easy but i've been trying very hard and can't do it.

i am glad for all the help i've had along the time i've asked you guys questions...it's amazing how fast the answers came to me.
Thank you very, very much.

.if anyone wants can check what i am doing...itś not much but means a lot to me https://soundcloud.com/user-546967985

Petri-foo is not soundfont editor. For that you should use Polyphone or Swami.

Also worth checking out Shuriken which can also create soundfonts.
they/them (nb/gq/tg, ta)
wiki.thingsandstuff.org/Audio and related pages - a collection of mostly Linux and free links (OpenID auth for anti-spam, try DW)
Linux Digital Audio and Music Workstation Comparison Matrix - collaborative Google Sheet

That is possible, but not saving as sf2.

1) load sample to 'default'. Click that box above that rendered sample
2) Clicking with mouse middle key on bar above keyboard you select root note of your sample. With left mouse key you select lower bound, right mouse key upper bound.
3) Panel on left side, with mouse right key select 'Add patch' and repeat all these to new patch.

Note that your sample note ranges can overlap, so that every key plays many samples. And on every patch there is huge number of setting you can adjust.
