Magenta NSynth

Has anybody here been following Google's Magenta project? It's an effort to apply machine learning to the arts, including music. They recently released a set of samples called NSynth under a Creative Commons attribution license:

I'm curious about it, but the .wav samples download for the "training set", is 22G. I'd like to know more about the contents of that download and the quality of the samples before I bother downloading it. I'm wondering if there is anything "orchestra sample library" worthy in there.
