Re: no budget orchestra torrent
I see 1 peer. But it doesn't download.
EDIT: Ok I get anywhere from 0 kb/s to 3kb/s.
Should I upload this torrent on a site?

Yay it works! Test it out. All the "full" mappings are done. Lots of instruments have been tweaked/improved.

Re: no budget orchestra torrent
As soon as glen gets this on his ftp site, the new nbo web site will go live.
The latest improvements can be heard most on the cellos, pizzicato strings, oboes, bassoons, and tubas.
Coming soon: the No Budget Band -- an overhaul and repackaging of all the non-orchestral instruments; guitars, basses, pianos, drums, etc.

Re: no budget orchestra torrent
I suggest making an unzipped torrent so you don't have to download everything when an update comes out.

Sorry to be dull, are you referring to me uploading the '.torrent' file above or is there a something you want uploaded/mirrored for the torrent to point to?j_e_f_f_g wrote:As soon as glen gets this on his ftp site, the new nbo web site will go live.

Torrent is quick for me:
4 peers with 1.2MB/s
which is my own connection speed

Yes, i'd like you to host nbo.zip instead of all the individual zip files. All those zip files are a pain to update. And they're a nightmare for anyone who wants to d/l the whole orchestra. Just delete all the old zip files.GMaq wrote:something you want uploaded
Plus nbo.zip organizes everything into one master folder, which is needed for the next phase -- Lv2 virtual instruments. Every nbo instrument will also come as its own self-contained stereo lv2 plugin. You want a flute? Just load the "NBO Solo Flute" plugin into a stereo daw track. Want a violin section? Load the "NBO Violins" plugin into another stereo track. The 1 plugin contains all an instrument's articulations. For example, the "nbo solo violin" plugin can play legato (with or without vibrato), pizzicato, tremulo, or spiccato -- all instantly switchable via one midi controller message. So it can all be automated. And the entire setup is saved/restored with your daw session. No more hassle with setting linuxsampler/qsampler/qjackctl... again and again. Want someone to edit/mix your orchestral score? Just send the daw session file. It will use the nbo stuff on his system.
And we're going to do likewise with the No Budget Band.

I suggest using DPF which means DSSI, LV2 and VST.j_e_f_f_g wrote:Plus nbo.zip organizes everything into one master folder, which is needed for the next phase -- Lv2 virtual instruments. What's wrong with LinuxSampler?

Re: no budget orchestra torrent
Ok, I bought extra space and uploaded the whole nbo.zip to the site.
