Post by tux99 »

Announced on their facebook page (requires facebook login):
https://www.facebook.com/yamahasynths/a ... 3389681180

But you can directly download them using the following links:
DX7: http://www.zampler.de/upload/Zampler-Yamaha-DX7.zip
CS40m: http://www.zampler.de/upload/Zampler-Yamaha-CS40M.zip
CS80: http://www.zampler.de/upload/Zampler-Yamaha-CS80.zip
DX1/DX5: http://www.zampler.de/upload/Zampler-Yamaha-DX1-DX5.zip

Thanks to Yamaha (and to Zampler who apparently made these packs for Yamaha)! :D

The dx archive is the best of the 3. But those early synths had some bad s/n ratios, and there's noticeable hiss on those waves. Also the looping is hit and miss -- some are really good, and others need improvement. I've done some work removing noise, and reworking loops. So if there's a particular patch you like, ask me to check whether I have a reworked version. I'll send it off to gmaq, who loves spending his income archiving the dx sound.

Hey all,

Since I don't trust facebook and the magazine people to keep these files up in the future I've mirrored it on archive.org and added to Musical Artifacts:

Cheers and happy music making!
