sfz bliss

The new linux discoDSP sampler, 'Bliss', loads sfz files, so folks may want to
try it out. It's new code, not a Highlife retread. I tested a bunch of
sounds from Dimension Pro, and all loaded fine. Quite a few soundfonts
also loaded, but some had the beta blues.

The sampler also samples plugin presets, I was able to sample from
the U-he collection, and Discovery Pro, with Bliss hosted in qtractor.
The plugin didn't scan in bitwig. Yet.

Still in beta, and prerelease price is $50 until the full first release.

Just tried it, starts up and doesn't crash (hurray!)
but I can't seem to be able to import SFZ.
I see an option for export, but not for import.
It's a bit too minimalist gui at this point...

click the v widget below the DSP logo,
and choose 'load program', then browse to your sfz,
sf2 or it's own saved zpd files.

To sample a synth preset, press the edit button,
in the edit panel menu, choose sampling-->Load Plugin

Then, sampling-->Open Plugin Editor
Choose a synth preset, and menu Sampling-->Sample plugin

A panel will open with options for interval, tail etc
Press OK when ready. Fewer intervals, longer tail/duration use more
memory, take more time.

Tried sampling successfully with U-he synths, and Discovery Pro.
Cheers

A basic Bliss walkthrough to sample a vst, from the dev, prior to a manual

It should be noted that changing the two 'Intervals' settings,
increases the quality of the sampling, and will take longer
than the video, and use extra memory.

Bliss beta 2 works in bitwig now, and loads multi-font soundfonts far better
than the earlier release. Some new videos, including 'granular',
are at the website.
Cheers
