Drumkv1

Post by Aleks »

I've installed this drum sampler,
http://drumkv1.sourceforge.net/drumkv1-index.html

just to check it out, but I can't get a sound out of it. There are no presets or anything. I've also installed the polyphonic synth. You can get interesting sounds, but there are also no presets, and on the screenshots I see there are. Does anybody have some experience with those, or have any suggestion?

Did you load any samples into it? I don't think drumkv1 comes with any pre-loaded samples. You have to double click the blank box corrosponding to which key is selected, then load a sample in, then press that key to get that sound.

Aha, so that list (bass drum etc.) in the list window is not a preset list then?

Thanks

Likewise, with SynthV1, there are no presets out of the box. However, Brian at AmSynth.com has made a few and Autostatic has some for download.

Thanks man, those amsynth ones are fantastic. It takes a little help with stuff like this to actually get up and running with producing sound.
