Rickenbacker bass SFZ
I've been using an Ibanez bass SFZ but I'm going to switch to this, I especially like the Picked1.sfz. It says "Fingered patch" but it's got both fingered and picked, plus there's downloads for muted and slap.
Oh, yeah. It's free. http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... sc&start=0

Re: Rickenbacker bass SFZ
I did a lot of work on that sample set, but I haven't released it. The original samples have a lot of hiss, buzzes, and rattles. Plus the bass was recorded out of tune. I fixed all that, and it sounds really nice. I haven't released it because he's supposedly redoing the whole thing 24-bit, so I'm waiting for the new version.
But if you're going to use this version, let me know which sfz you're using and I'll upload it.

The Picked1.sfz is probably going to be the one I use most.j_e_f_f_g wrote:But if you're going to use this version, let me know which sfz you're using and I'll upload it.

Re: Rickenbacker bass SFZ
Thanks. I was just expecting an sfz file. Did you tweak the wavs too?j_e_f_f_g wrote:http://wikisend.com/download/350860/picked1.zip

More than tweaked. I removed hiss, buzzes, rattles, string resonances, etc. Most of the work was on the waveforms.AnthonyCFox wrote:Did you tweak the wavs too?

I've been using this and, WOW, it's like having Geddy Lee at my beck and call. I like writing busy bass lines and this really shines for that.

Yeah, it's my fav free bass. Hopefully, he'll release his new version soon.
