Is there anything like Halftime?

Post by sysrqer »

I was watching this video and wondered if we have anything like this natively on linux. I can't think of any.

Hearing that demo clip I'd think you can natively reproduce this easily even without any software or OS, simply use either a very stoned or boozed friend to play at random on the keyboards or, budget version, put the keyboards in a room full of kittens.
Bonus: Add a livecam and you may even monetize the event and weekly buy and add another full rand keyboard and plenty of good food for the kittens!

You may archive similar results with GxLiveLooper, as it could stretch/shrink loops including pitch shifting.
But the workflow will be somewhat harder, as that isn't the main goal for this plug.
On the road again.

I can't really get the right sound out of it, it never seems to sound like the same signal playing half speed. That said, I did just play with it for about an hour and made a song around the sound it does make.

Hmm, maybe there is a cardinal module that does this. I know there is in VCV Rack but the vst doesn't work for me in my host.
