*.lv2 folders go inside your ~/.lv2 folder
*-vst.so files go inside your ~/.vst folder
files without extensions are JACK standalone

in mix, nobody can hear your screen

Thanks you for clearing that up. Strange they don't tell you so on their website. Especially that one 'bout the Jack standalone was impossible to guess without a file extension.

BTW I can't find how to use Jack standalone plugins on the 'net. Have you a link or tip?

They are just programs as many others, make sure they have execution permission and put them in a folder in your $PATH.
I would put them in /usr/local/bin (or in ~/bin or ~/.local/bin if defined in your $PATH).

After that you can launch them by typing their filename in the terminal or you create a Desktop file launcher in ~/.local/share/applications, or if you want to execute a program outside the $PATH you type the full path + name of the program.

For example if the file is in the current directory:

Code: Select all

./DragonflyHallReverb

in mix, nobody can hear your screen

That simple. Worked like a charm, thanks. :)
