Linux VST2 SFZ/SF2 Hosts other than Carla/SFZero?
Hi,
I'm looking for a Linux VST2 Soundfont/SFZ Host (not VST3 or not LV2) format that can be compiled into a 32bit binary. Other than Carla (not really an option) or SFZero (not bad but missing many opcodes) are there any out there that I have missed?

My first thought is ye olde LinuxSampler, but I took a look and couldn't immediately determine if it can be compiled for 32 bit.

I was thinking about Mamba because it can load sf2, I don't know if it can compile as 32bit though.
in mix, nobody can hear your screen

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm looking for a self-contained binary... not a fan of LS reallyMichael Willis wrote: ↑Tue Jun 22, 2021 3:24 pm My first thought is ye olde LinuxSampler, but I took a look and couldn't immediately determine if it can be compiled for 32 bit.

It appears to be a standalone? Unless I read too quickly I don't see it is in any VST format, did I miss something?

This is a longshot candidate... https://github.com/Birch-san/juicysfplugin
I approached the dev and if we're very lucky we may get a one off Linux release to whet our appetites, time will tell I guess. I don't know if any of our developers here could help whip the source into Linux buildable shape..?

we discussed it here and problem was in old fluidsynth in Debian.
if Testing has proper version I can try to make deb package too
EDIT: yes we have a chance https://packages.debian.org/ru/bullseye/fluidsynth

I'm fooling around with a personal side project to keep EnergyXT2 2.7 working on Linux, it is 32bit and VST2 only.. There are a lot of things against me but actually between some solid 32bit LinuxVST Plugin builds from KXStudio's repos and a hacked build of LinVST I have about 50+ Linux and Windows VST's working in EnergyXT 2.7 on a 64bit Debian Bullseye test system! I have nothing in native Linuxdom to support Soundfonts as we have virtually no decent VST2 fluidsynth plugins so my initial purpose in this is to hunt down a LinVST 32bit Soundfont host that works in EnergyXT but in the meantime if we get juicySF ported over in general that would be awesome!!

I downloaded the 64bit and tried in Ardour 6.7... it gets blacklisted there for some reason...? Don't have Reaper on this system to try
