Hi!
I have a 'mute' electronic drum kit (with alesisIO module) and I'm trying to set up a good kit. Tried AvlDrums which are great IMO but it suffers from "machine-gun" effect when played live.
I've used it on EzDrummer on my Windows days with positive results, ideally I'm looking for something similar.
My computer is an old celeron M notebook, which handles AVLDrums with 0 xruns, but might be a bottleneck for something heavier.
So, any recommendations or past experience to share?
DrumGizmo might be the answer maybe.
Thanks!

When I'm not sitting at my computer for a few days trying to edit midi drums, my buddy when he has the time would hook up and play drum Gizmo to his electronic drum kit and because of the realism of drum Gizmo (real kiss, bleeding e.t.c.) it's like if he was actually playing his acoustic drum kit.

After some tests I concluded Drumgizmo is too heavy for that poor celeron

I can't find it now, but AFAICR, somebody made a mixed version of a DG drumkit here for those don't need plethora of channels

Maybe try a Hydrogen drumkit in an LV2 plugin. Two options: https://github.com/falkTX/drmr (which I have never tried), and a new option: https://lsp-plug.in/. The LSP multisampler plugins now support Hydrogen drumkits, as of today. (I haven't tried this yet, but plan to!)

Hello, thanks for the hints.
I will try some hydrogen kits, and also will give sfizz a try, according to this post was used with sf2 drums

Unfortunately, due to life events I could not yet try any solutions.I'm currently testing and using it in a small Qt GUI with my electronic drum. Except for a limitation of SFZ with the HiHat (similar issues also with Sforzando) the rest is working fine, at least there is enough opcodes support for drums to play with (random) round robins
