Chordz: only recording single notes
I want to record the chords I play via chordz-plugin.
A midi track with chordz loaded via Carla-Rack plugin and Calf Fluidsynth is working fine. I play a single not on my midi-keyboard and I can hear a chord with the sound of the instrument chosen in Calf Fluidsynth.
But as soon as I start recording only the single notes I play are recorded:

Re: Chordz: only recording single notes
When loading the chordz plugin to Carla Standalone Rack and connecting the inputs and outputs like this:
It's recording the chords triggered by a single note from my midi-keyboard:
How can I configure the Carla-Rack plugin in ardour to make the chordz plugin to make it work as it does when loading out of ardour (standalone)?OS: Debian 10 DAW: Ardour 6.2

When you record, you record midi input. To record midi output of pluging, you should have another midi track, and set midi track with chordz to output that track.

Re: Chordz: only recording single notes
You mean like that:
I guess the problem is the Carla-RackFX only has audio out and no midi out.
Doesn't work either. It only records the midi input (single notes)I guess the problem is the Carla-RackFX only has audio out and no midi out.

Re: Chordz: only recording single notes
Most likely there is same problem I found with arp plugins: windows vst that modifies midi does not work in Mixbus, midi is passed thru unmodified. And most likely same in Ardour. viewtopic.php?f=48&t=21468&start=8
My finding was that adding carla as plugin in Mixbus, and running that windows plugin in it works.

Re: Chordz: only recording single notes
The new Ardor 6 solves this problem, for little money you can buy a copy. the track menu now allows a pre-recording fx.
effect but the truth I advise against using non native vst

How do you add Carla as a plugin?

Re: Chordz: only recording single notes
If you have carla installed, there is also carla lv2 plugin. So when adding a plugin, in plugin manager search for carla, en there is plenty of options. Most likely carla-patchbay is relevant plugin. There you need to connect incoming and outgoing midi.

@Shupacabras point was that midi-morphing plugins don't work with it in Mixbus/Ardour, they need Carla.Shupacabras wrote: ↑Tue May 19, 2020 3:57 pmyou can investigate linvst, it is a great alternative

However, in your screenshot you have those chords recorded in same midi track as chordz plugin? For me that track has only key inputs, need to do other for chord stuff?

Sorry I don't understand, it must be a question of language, I only speak Spanish
the rest is google
In the new ardor6
I add new track
edit in context menu of track effects rack
select menu Disk I / O click in option custom
add chordz before "recorder"
track records VST output
the rest is google
