New plugin without name - ideas welcome
Following a discussion with board member milk and inspired by Fabrizio Poces J74 SliceShuffler (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_FtuLVmG9o) I just uploaded a draft version of a unnamed plugin:
https://github.com/sjaehn/BNoname
Edit: New URL: https://github.com/sjaehn/BJumblr
It looks like a step sequencer, but it isn't. It deals with an audio stream instead of MIDI data.
It is also not a slicer as it acts on the live audio input stream instead of an uploaded sample.
From the technical POV it is a pattern-controlled delay, but I don't think that anybody would call it so.
You can use it to re-sequence (or "shuffle" or "reorder") your audio output signal. Re-ordering is very interesting for drum loops. But you can also use it like a classic delay (with weird long delay times of up to 4 bars) to produce echo effects or a canon.
Now, I made a plugin and I have no idea how to call it. This is strange. Therefore, any ideas are welcome.

BShufflr? Thanks for the plugin btw, I just dropped a dance track (with a whole number tempo) into Carla rack, hooked all together, matched the transport tempo then had a heck of a lot of fun. I'd like to see in the future if this can work inside Mixxx.

Or, in a nod to Henry Kaiser's similar(?) technique from the 70s, you could call it B.SquareWaveModulationOfTheClockRateOfLongDelayTimes
Yes, that's what you should call it.

This was also my first idea. But it was a bit too close Fabrizio Poces plugin for me. Likely I will use this name anyway. Still my favorite.milk wrote:BShufflr?

This is great. And I thought about what Frank Farian used for the scandalous last concert of Milli Vanilli to create the "girl you know it's girl you know it's girl you ..." loop from a record recorded before with a much longer "delay".ZestieBumwhig wrote:Or, in a nod to Henry Kaiser's similar(?) technique from the 70s, you could call it B.SquareWaveModulationOfTheClockRateOfLongDelayTimes
