Chord progression and melody plugin

Post by hdr »

I'm looking for a plugin to write chord progressions and melodies like this:
https://mixedinkey.com/captain-plugins/captain-chords/
or this:
https://www.hooktheory.com/hookpad

Is there any one working with ardour?
OS: Debian 10 DAW: Ardour 6.2

That's an auto-arranger.

You'll want to check out BackupBand, especially its "Songsheet Editor".

So, this should have happened sooner or later. How sad. I was hoping it will never occur, but the forces of evil succeeded. Don't you also want an automatic mixing application, an automatic publisher, an automatic promoter, and an automatic money collector?
Being creative does not imply being lazy, stupid, or illiterate.

Working in Harrison Mixbus and Ardour on KDE Neon + KXStudio.

I don't know if captain chords creates chord progressions automatically, at least for me it does not look like it, but more of tool for composing chord progressions by selecting from suitable chords with mouse.

But next level is available, midi packs, containing chords and chord progressions. Ok, same chord progressions are used in most songs. But things don't stop there. There is also melody midi packs! If we think hypothetical situation what would happen when someone creates some hit song with such melody, and someone else sues for intellectual property theft. Who is to be sued, 'maker' of song, or maker of that midi pack?

It's not a plugin but the pattern generator of Tracktion Waveform is not bad, really:

And it's available in the free version. I think it's worth to try.
It's probably the best progression and melody creator you can get for free with linux support.

I don't know if it's complex to port this to linux, at least there's hope since it's open source, too bad I can't help, I'm just a code enthusiast..
