Re: audio damage
I also got the Dubstation to run on Bitwig and using the standalone wrappers. Resizing works well, as does loading the presets. I initially thought the small "switches" weren't working, but you'll just have to press them and not try to "grab and drag" them sideways - or should that work too?
I'll try Ardour, Muse etc. later.
I just got Color Copy, so I can't justify getting Dubstation too. However, my initial tests indicate that Dubstation works better in a mix than Colour Copy does. It has a bit flatter and a more distorted sound than the U-he product, but it was very easy to place e.g. direct-recorded guitars with it comfortably in a mix (I might sometimes spend hours finding the right plugins for the purpose).
I know this thread isn't really about the perceived quality of the plugins, as it's about the plugins actually getting Linux builds and how they run, but just wanted to mention that.

Might increase your industry exposure, and consolidate internet communications.
U-he made a separate linux section, to keep discussions sorted. Bitwig linux threads
are not isolated, and don't seem controversial. Looking forward to trying your products!
Several other linux and cross-platform devs have kvr forums. If a business
has communicators and customers, as yours seems to have,
it can be a good ride.
Tried the FuzzPlus III, very enjoyable, has lots of range.
A commercial version with a randomizer would be a nice addition. The old but good CMFuzz has one,
and gets lot's of use in wine. A 64 bit randomizing/preset-saving FuzzPlus III
would be very cool, and it's almost stocking-stuffer time.
Cheers

Thanks

Re: audio damage
doesn't seem to work in bitwig or reaper either..
when i run reaper from a console, and force a plugin re-scan, it prints:
"dlopen() failed: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libm.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.29' not found (required by /WORK/audio/vst/linux/audio damage/RoughRider3.so)"
on linux mint 19.3

Re: audio damage
Roughrider 3 works in Reaper on my system. (Xubuntu 19.10 with glibc 2.30). Also the plugin takes very little CPU.

Re: audio damage
Yeah, tried to play with Continua, it's powerful but eats all CPU and thus has bad GUI response.occulkot wrote:oh wow, their new synth Continua also have linux build! Awesome!

Re: audio damage
too bad..
i don't want to mess with my otherwise stable system for one plugin..
i've had too many disasters through the years trying to do things like that..

Doesn't work. Instantly blacklisted in Ardour and Mixbus, not even seen by Carla.skei wrote:roughrider3

Re: audio damage
I contacted the Audio Damage support, telling them the issue of GLIBC 2.29. Chris Randall responded instantly, he'll build a new version of Continua linking to 2.27.. Its very good to see such a responsive support from a developer, let's hope to have it solved.Kott wrote:I think is better to post some report to devs. Because there are lot of Linux users with glibc<2.29 distros.
