Progressive time stretch

Post by hellocatfood »

I'm using Ardour on Linux and I'm looking to progressively change the speed of an audio sample, so that it starts of slow and then gets faster and faster. I also want to do the reverse where it starts of fast and gets progressively slower. Is there a plugin available that can do this?

Just tried out the demo and it works perfectly, thanks!

Out of interest do you know if there's anything similar that is free/open source?

The old version was free when I last checked it, but this doesn't seem to be the case anymore. Maybe it only was the Windows version.
Maybe you get similar effects with: https://mourednik.github.io/argotlunar/

Coincidentally I had just installed it a few minutes before your post!

It's a good granulator and can certainly replicate some of the randomness of the Glitch plugin but I can't see a way to slow down a sample unfortunately.

Thanks for this! This eventually brought me to the Rate Shifter plugin which did exactly what I needed http://plugin.org.uk/ladspa-swh/docs/la ... th_sEc2.82

I think I'm very far off making any finished music. Still quite new to all of this so just gathering together ideas and testing things out.

If you wanna see anything here's me demonstrating the plugin on Mastodon https://mastodon.social/web/statuses/102916535327007755
