Weird UI Embedding Issue For LinVst Bridged Plugins

Postby artofmusic » Sun Apr 21, 2019 1:35 pm

I find this UI bug rather irritating in MusE or any other DAW. The plugin opens partially at first start before you resize it. Just for reference this started back in git in January.

In Carla however the plugin UI it works as expectped.
This might be worth looking into and it does this to all plugins cuting them off somewhat, but then they work in carla when you drop the .so file in it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know what's going on there.

I havn't seen the problem myself or know of anyone with the same problem and as far as I can remember I havn't altered the embedding code but I'll try to look for possible causes.

I'm using a 1080p screen for this on Arch Linux. At first, I thought it might have something to do with how qt 5.12 embeds the UI nope, it does it in Ardour as well and every other DAW except Carla. Also, Carla is QT based so it made my head scratch more. It's a small issue but rather irritating. I'll try Wayland and see if that fixes it.

Just out of curiosity, is it only one particular plugin that this happens to or is it any plugins? That is odd.

It happens with my scarlett plugins and in Ardour linvst renders this plugin(s) correctly though now.
