Vember Surge update

Postby davephillips » Thu Apr 04, 2019 1:12 pm

Greetings !

Just a note to let you know that the horrible noise bug has been squashed. I've had 100% success with Surge in Bitwig 2.3.5 and VCV Rack via the Host module, Surge performs very well on those hosts now. If you've tried the plugin and suffered from that bug, please update to beta8, give it a try, and be sure to let the developers know how you fare with it.

I didn't experience the bug but I'm so happy to see development of this, it's such a great synth.

I thought this was a good video to show the power of it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y1C25wYF4rg

Surge is great synth, have to learn how to use it! Luckily it has good manual: https://surge-synthesizer.github.io/manual/

Is it working now with older Linux versions?

The binary from github may or may not work on your system, I haven't checked it here. I build it from source on Fedora 23, it works fine.

The next version (after beta 8) supports exact slider movement through Menu->Mouse Behavior.
It makes Surge much more precise / pleasant to use on Linux systems. Check it out! It's in the nightly build already:
