Greetings:
The latest version:

Developers bsp2 and cameronleger have been working on the Linux version of a VST plugin of the VCV Rack virtual modular synthesis environment. There are still various minor bugs to clear up, but the intrepid among you might like to take a swing at building/using it.
EDIT: Unofficial binaries at http://linux-sound.org/misc/veeseevstrack.tar.gz. Unpack to a writable directory that will be scanned by your DAW and you should be good to go. Please contact me if you need more help/information.
EDIT: Official beta build now available at https://github.com/bsp2/releases/raw/ma ... Oct2018.7z so please use my build only if you can't run the official version. Bugs and other problems should be reported to bsp2's github Issues tracker.
VeeSeeVSTRack plugin running in Bitwig:
bsp2's main git repo:
https://github.com/bsp2/VeeSeeVSTRack
I have built and tested the plugin with Bitwig 2.3.5 and Ardour6. I get full performance in Bitwig but so far I've got no sound from the plugin in Ardour. I'll keep working with it.
Caveats:
Not all available modules are included with the plugin, including all the closed source modules, so no Vult or NYSTHI. Too bad, but that may change in the future.
There are still a number of unresolved graphics glitches. If you can run the plugin, please report any problems to the git Issues tracker.
Older systems like mine may require a few tweaks to the VSVR codebase. Feel free to contact me for suggestions if you hit the wall building the plugin.
The plugin requires the same base system requirements as VCV Rack, e.g. fairly recent OpenGL support.
bsp2 has stated that there will be no further development of the VSVR plugin after Rack 1.0 comes out. Andrew Belt, Rack's main developer, has already begun work on an "official" VST version of Rack, though I must add that Andrew has given the Nod Of Approval to bsp2's work. Also, there will be no VST3 version from bsp2. If someone else wants to carry the codebase into VST3-land they are welcome to do so at any time.
Have fun !
Best regards,
dp
