VST on Linux?
I spent researching and trying this for about a whole day. I have some windows VST such as Softube, BIAS FX and Surfer EQ that I'd like to use with Reaper (running on WINE). There were some different apps that promised to run windows VST but I could not make any of them work. I must say I'm newbie in Linux and using terminal but I tried my best. If someone could walk me through how to make these VSTs work I'd be so greatful!
Re: VST on Linux?
Not sure if you figured this out on your own by now, but when running REAPER in wine, most windows vsts work out of the box in it. It's really the best solution for running windows vsts in Linux - REAPER is made to work well with wine, and the vsts come along for the ride.
Re: VST on Linux?
Like eric71 said, the easiest way is by using Reaper. It is a Windows application anyway, so no conversion is needed.
Second easiest way, I guess, is using Carla.
The last way is using Airwave. There is some sort of tutorial here: viewtopic.php?f=48&t=15927&p=72616
