Where did soundcrab vst plugin from juce project went?

Post by akiz »

Does somebody know where i can find soundcrab vst from juce? I found standalone version but no vst for my renoise.:(.but in changelog is written that.soundcrab is vst working with renoise. So where is it? I cant use fluidsynth (i need sf2 player and only soundcrab and fluidsynth handle it well) cause you can use more than one instance in renoise or it crashes.

Renoise / Tracktion / Bitwig doesnt support LV2 (so even if LV2 is best format for plugins, the best linux daws for electronic music dont support it)
so you have to use DSSI (renoise and tracktion support it, not bitwig)
but when i use fluidsynth dssi in renoise i can use just one instance. When i wanna insert the second one renoise will crash. I am not sure right now but i think that Hexter has the same bug (but i am not sure for now!).

There is also highlife, great vst sampler but it doesnt handle sf2 well (make some crazy things about distribution of samples to the keyzones...).

Linuxsampler VST can handle SF2 as well as SFZ. I've not tried it under Renoise so YMMV.

If you want to use a SF2 containing many instruments with LS (VST) it looks like you have to use jsampler as the GUI atm.

I've tried Linuxsampler VST with both SFZ and SF2 files and it seems to be fine otherwise.

We need not suffer jsampler any longer for our retro-sampling needs as our fave qhero has added proper SF2 support to qsampler in svn!
