Looking for a graphical waveshaper (distortion)

Years ago I've seen such an effect processor in FL Studio (Fruity Loops):

I've been using similar but simplified signal processor in ALSA Modular Synth (AMS).

Is there open implementation? Maybe a LV2 plugin that does that?
I think of this as a re-programmable distortion effect as it can deliver all sorts of "hard clipping" "soft clipping" "hard gate" and lots of interesing stuff that is not possible otherwise.

Applying crazy distortion curves to the signal can deliver all sorts of great effects.

There are a number of commercial distortion VSTs available for linux
http://www.ineardisplay.com/ (several available, one for free)
http://www.loomer.co.uk/products.htm
http://illformed.com/glitch/
I don't use these myself, but just wanted to point out such things exist.

Thanks, guys!

As I'm looking for OpenSource stuff, the AMS to LV2 stuff is probably going to hit the spot I guess.

Maybe I should pass this idea to the makers of Calf plugins - they got some really neat stuff and know how to make great GUIs too.

Am I mistaken, but didn't there used to be a Stereo Expandor/widener is Calf that isn't included in the latest versions (Stereo Tools isn't the same). I was using it along with the Bass Enhancer to play tunein radio (through jack).

I do not see an expander/widener listed at the calf website: http://calf.sourceforge.net/plugins.html
Maybe this capability was incorporated into Stereo Tools?

Just noticed this one is in the Distrho ports: http://www.drowaudio.co.uk/products.php the drow distortion shaper is graphical, unfortunately it only provides 2 control points. Hopefully its helpful though.
