Re: OpenSource non-linux plugins out there?
Thanks for pointing that out antiesen! The only JUCE plugins I think I've ever built have been those in DISTRHO but they don't require you use introjucer so that'll explain my confusion.
I may have a go at building it before F gets his DISTRHO updates done if I get impatient but I want to use it under Tracktion. Hopefully his build will fix whatever might be preventing it working there.

Yeah I know there are presets, but there is no way to load them with the actual lv2 build. That's what I meant.danboid wrote:stanlea:
Surely there is a preset system else what are the links to patches for on its homepage?

Thanks for all the work put into getting this plugin on linux guys!
One question. Is there a way to import the presets?

Re: OpenSource non-linux plugins out there?
Thanks for packaging obdx falkTX!
Its a pretty nice synth but Noizemaker remains the top dog of the FLOSS softsynths for me.
As has already been mentioned, Tracktion freezes as soon as you insert Obxd onto a track but it works fine under qtractor. I have reported the Tracktion Obxd freeze on their KVR forum.
I too am wondering about the Obxd presets. I presume they'll need to be copied into ~/.vst or somewhere? Not tried yet.

Is the format documented someplace? I didn't find anything in some cursory google searches. A script could probably be written to convert preset files to .ttl for lv2 versions.falkTX wrote:The presets I've seen so far are in VXB/VXP format, which is the host-side format for VST presets.
It's up to the host to support these presets.

Sorry, could´t find it on launchpad - it is only 32 bit - isn´t it?falkTX wrote:Ok, now packaged as obxd-lv2 and obxd-vst.
Those on AVLinux can get the debs here:

Re: OpenSource non-linux plugins out there?
So I finally got a chance to spend some quality time with Obdx today. I have to say I'm estatic. Not only does it sound fantastic, but it functions so well as an lv2/vst with Jack. I built up a wicked synth with Carla in AVLinux with obdx, wolpertinger, vex, and some compression. I am very impressed.
Re: OpenSource non-linux plugins out there?
Is there a place I can download the built 64bit LVST? I still Havn't added the KXstudio repositories on my debian system.
Re: OpenSource non-linux plugins out there?

Re: OpenSource non-linux plugins out there?
Hmmm... I downloaded the .deb file (lv2) and since Bodhilinux now has an app that installs .deb files very smoothly I tried it out. So I ran the install process and all went well. I opened obdx using jalv.gtk and saw the very nice blue GUI. But alas, no sound (using Jack). Anyone else experience this??

This is an organ I want to try.
Any chance for a .deb? I'm going to try building it here soon.
Thanks!
