maaaan, you are the best.

I was very sad 2 days ago when I noticed that dssi-vst doesn't work anymore with recent wine versions.
thank you so much

While it may not seem like a big deal, the future is out there,
and all these fixes and updates mean somebody somewhere someday will
make music, because, "hey, it works 8) "

thanks!
Got some time to test this, made an rpm, and installed in a non KX setup,
and it works quite well. Used Native Instruments Reaktor5, and Guitar Rig5,
U-he Diva and ZebraCM, which all worked as expected, using symbolic links from
their folder in .wine, to the dssi-vst path

Oddly, Absynth 5 didn't work, unless I gave it the full monty command:

vsthost /home/username/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Steinberg/VstPlugins/"Absynth 5 Stereo.dll"

I had Absynth linked to
/usr/lib/vst
/usr/lib/dssi
/usr/lib/dssi/dssi-vst
which all are working paths, to no avail. Maybe the guys in Berlin should hire you
to fix Absynth? :)

Plugin loading seemed faster, but not scientifically proved, and
I am pretty sure cpu usage is immensely improved,
but I'll do some comparison tests later.

slowpick : try to rename your paths in order to have no spaces in the folder names nor in the plugins names. It worked for me. If you don't want to rename "program files" (obviously, it's not a good idea), try to locate your vst plugins elsewhere.

falktx : thank you so much for making dssi-vst working - it's not as perfect as the previous version, I have some xruns, but my Reaktor works...

I'm going to make an Arch AUR package for this: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php ... 8#p1117768
atm, I haven't found the time, If anybody has interest in this, feel free to conclude it.

Dunno why but this last version cannot install on my system. A conflict with some libs, I suppose.
