Re: 12.04 ams64 : cannot install festige
I can confirm this on a fresh install of Ubuntu Studio 12.04 amd64
Code: Select all
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
festige : Depends: festige-backend
Recommends: dssi-vst but it is not installable
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

Still not working for me too. And I have a bunch of messages from synaptic, telling that installing festige needs to uninstall half of the ubuntu studio stuff.

Re: 12.04 ams64 : cannot install festige
I suspect wine 1.4xxx is also a problem, as I have libgtk2.0-0 on my all 32bit system,
that has had wine working since long before the 1.0 release. Festige was handed an error
message as soon as I "upgraded" wine to 1.4 It had worked
very well, before that.

Re: 12.04 ams64 : cannot install festige
I saw the updates. Good work (for me). Festige is installed and works.
But... surely I missed something, I have no wineasio
And I have an error when I set
Is wineasio in this repos ?

Re: 12.04 ams64 : cannot install festige
In case it is useful info, the fst command works to load Absynth 5, CMFuzz, and other vsts,
and then if I launch a vst from festige, that fails, and when I close Festige,
it closes the apps that were running with fst.

Re: 12.04 ams64 : cannot install festige
I *did* replace VERSION with precise... (see my error message), but still it doesn't load.lol, please read the text I put there... it's written for a reason
(or maybe you didn't understood it?)
anyway, replace 'VERSION' with your installed ubuntu/kxstudio version, which in this case I assume it's "precise".
after that, reload the source again (apt-get update, or whatever method you use), and 'wineasio' will be installable.

Re: 12.04 ams64 : cannot install festige
Thank you, finally it worked (and I succeded to add manually the repos in list).
A last problem : tweaking wine/audio only shows me an "alsa" choice. How do register wineasio ?
