Just installed kxstudio repos, no audio from browser +hum

Post by hudkins »

Hi,

I recently installed the KXStudio repos in the most recent version of MX Linux. Everything is fine except for 2 things:

I have audio, but not from Firefox. I used to have a fix for this but I can't seem to find it. Here's the log output from JACK:

The other issue is when I turn on JACK, there a lot of noise, especially when thing move on screen. Just hums at different frequencies. depending on what's going on. There's substantially less noise with JACK not on.

In cadence turn on the pulseaudio bridge, this should give you sound from Firefox.

I'm not sure about the noise problem. Are you sure the right card is used in the settings?

Thanks. That solved the sound from Firefox problem. I'm sorry but I'm not sure what you mean by the second question. I'm using a Presonus Audiobox USB and that's what it's set to use.
