Carla Internal plugins

There are two plugins : audio file and midi file, how do they work ?

Midi files play, audio files not.

And why both plugins have a midi input port?. Maybe can they be triggered with a midi message?.

Anyone knows a plugin similiar to audio file, but that can be triggered with a midi message?.
