Cadence start - Xubuntu Question

Post by hockeykong »

I Installed Cadence recently. It's set to start at login which is what I want.
The problem is I can't get it to start minimized. It's not a big problem but
since I login and logout often I'd like not to have to close it every time.

I'm on Xubuntu 16.04 LTS.

It is mentioned on some forums that starting Cadence with the --minimized
fixes it. That's fine for starting it from the terminal but that's not my case.
I tried adding '--minimized' to the command field of the Menu Editor (xfce)
but that did not change anything. There's also a "Use startup notification"
option which I switched a few times but no change either.

Any ideas?

Hi, sorry for the delay in getting back here.

The problem has gone away by itself a few days after I posted my question.

I cannot say for sure if it is truly fixed, permanently, because I did not get
a chance to work with my audio stuff. JACK and PulseAudio were
used/active only for standard use of audio players and by the Internet
browser (Firefox).

I will get back here as soon as I can test my audio setup, with several
programs and plugins, and signal this as solved or not. It looks like it is.
